About The FUNDAP    
 

The FUNDAP is a system of financial incentive created by the government of the Espirito Santo helping to foment the economic growth of the State through operations of Foreign Commerce carried out through import and exporting Companies next to Receita Federal.

The system possesss three interesting points:

In the grant of the collecting taxes of the entrance (importation) for the exit of the imported merchandises;

In the concession of loan/financing of 2/3 of the taxes generated in these exits, for a stated period of 20 years for payment, with a lack of 5 years with 1% interests per year.

To carry out investments in strategical segments, pre-determined for the state. (Industries, Fish, Tourism, etc.

Most of the products can be imported by system FUNDAP, but some that are part of a list of exception for being considered of strategical importance and being produced in the State of the Espirito Santo.

According to current rules, the financing of the taxes alone is granted for the merchandises disentangled in the ports and airports of the Espirito Santo. All the exits of imported merchandises through FUNDAP and effected by Via Importer Foreign Commerce Ltda, either internal or interstate, it has the maximum ICMS of 12%.

How the customers can benefit themselves of the FUNDAP? The benefits alone exist when the authorized importer as Via Importer Foreign Commerce Ltda., it repasses to the customers the advantages that receive. The importation with use of FUNDAP system has two possibilities of execution:

The Fundapeana (Via Importer Foreign Commerce Ltda.) purchase the products that you want in the exterior on behalf of it, nationalizes them and resell them, that is, this operation is for order.

The Fundapeana (Via Importer Foreign Commerce Ltda.) purchase the products for its Account and Order.

Some benefits

Improvement of the flow of box of the importations (stated period for payment of the relative value to the detached ICMS).

Reduction of the costs based on fiscal engineering.
More competitive port costs (ports of the ES and negotiations in scale).
Reduction or elimination of the fixed cost of the structure of importation of the customers since the services pass to be executed by the Import Company.
